WIM Named a KEIT-Certified 'M.AX Specialist Company' (Aug 2026)

WIM Inc. announced on August 5, 2026 that it has been named an "M.AX (Manufacturing AI Transformation) Specialist Company" in the equipment/robotics category, a designation administered by the Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology (KEIT). With this selection, WIM holds M.AX Specialist Company status for two years, from August 5, 2026 to August 4, 2028.

The M.AX Specialist Company program is run jointly by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and KEIT to identify and cultivate companies capable of leading the AI transformation (AX) of manufacturing. Evaluation covers not only whether a company holds AI technology, but also its level of application on the manufacturing floor, its data management system, its specialized personnel and organization, and its track record and commercialization capability in applying AI. Selected companies receive benefits such as priority participation in government support programs, market and promotional support, and financial support.

Since its founding in 2023, WIM has built its business around the AI robot controller "WIM Robot Controller" and the robot control software platform "PLEM." Its architecture, which processes real-time control and edge AI inference in a single device, together with its platform strategy of operating collaborative robots, industrial articulated robots, and humanoids through one controller, were cited as key reasons behind this selection in the equipment/robotics category.

Building on this M.AX Specialist Company designation, WIM plans to expand its ties with government support programs and pursue field validation and market development at manufacturing sites.
