WIM Attends UKC 2026 Global Deep-Tech Forum, Meets NVIDIA Co-Founder (Aug 2026)


WIM Inc. took part in the 39th US-Korea Conference on Science, Technology and Entrepreneurship (UKC 2026), held in Orlando, Florida, attending the 'Global Deep-Tech Technology Commercialization Forum.' During the event, the company also had the opportunity to meet an NVIDIA co-founder.
The Korea Innovation Foundation (INNOPOLIS) hosted the 'Global Deep-Tech Technology Commercialization Forum' during UKC 2026 on August 6 (local time). Co-organized by the Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA) and the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies, UKC is a flagship event for Korea-US science and technology exchange, and this forum was organized to discuss US market entry and commercialization strategies for Korean deep-tech companies.
In the forum's first session, US-based experts spoke on the theme of "K-Deep-Tech's US Market Entry Strategy." Ron Piccolo, CEO of the Florida Semiconductor Engine, shared cases of regional technology-innovation ecosystem collaboration; Janice Logan, a partner attorney at Morgan Lewis, addressed intellectual property issues and responses when entering the US market; and Paul Sohl, CEO of the Florida High Tech Corridor, presented soft-landing strategies connecting universities and industry.
In the talk-concert session that followed, CEOs from four Innopolis-affiliated companies shared the experience and know-how they gained entering the US market. The CEOs of Elspeth, Erudio Bio, and Narma shared their experience securing sites, attracting research funding, and obtaining certifications, respectively. Hee-kwon Jung, Chairman of the Korea Innovation Foundation, said, "For deep-tech companies to stay competitive in the global market, they need a commercialization strategy covering not just technology but local regulations, intellectual property, investment, production, and partnerships," adding, "We will expand our network with US industry and experts to support the stable entry and growth of Innopolis companies in the US market."
During the event, WIM CEO Woojin Jeon attended a talk by NVIDIA co-founder Chris Malachowsky on the future of computing and AI. He said the message that stood out most was that "how powerful AI becomes matters just as much as how many people can actually access and use that technology." After the talk, he briefly greeted Malachowsky and had the chance to introduce the technology WIM is building.
The robot controller Jeon introduced on this occasion is a next-generation controller built on the NVIDIA Jetson SoC that processes AI computation and real-time robot control in a single device, minimizing the lag between intelligence and actual movement. It is currently being developed on Jetson Orin, with plans to extend to the next-generation Thor.
After the event, Jeon shared the meeting on his social media, saying, "As AI-based high-level control advances and robots make more complex decisions, the importance of low-level control actually grows, because even the best decision has to ultimately translate into accurate, fast, and stable real-world movement." He added, "That's why WIM builds an integrated controller while focusing especially on low-level control research, with the goal of helping teams developing robot AI, including VLA models, connect their AI to real robots more easily, without having to rebuild the entire control stack from scratch."
WIM aims to build a general-purpose AI robot control stack that starts with robot manipulators and extends to mobile robots and humanoids, and plans to keep expanding its network in the US market under the direction that "AI decides, and WIM connects that decision to movement."
