WIM Named a Top 10 Winner at 'NVIDIA Inception Grand Challenge 2026'
WIM Inc. was named one of the Top 10 winners at the final of the 'NVIDIA Inception Grand Challenge 2026 (Asia Pacific)', held in Singapore on September 22. More than 660 startups from five APAC countries, including Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, and New Zealand, applied to this year's challenge.
WIM is one of three physical AI companies among the Top 10 winners, and it also ranked 2nd in the on-site audience vote.
WIM's vision is to build the "Android for physical AI." App developers don't build their own operating system. In the same way, physical AI developers shouldn't have to implement kinematics, dynamics, and PID control loops from scratch just to run an AI model on a robot.
The WIM Robot Controller provides the control layer that turns an AI's decisions into real robot motion. It runs AI inference and real-time motor control together on a single NVIDIA Jetson platform, and it works with robot hardware from other manufacturers.
CEO Woojin Jeon said, "At WIM, we're building the 'Android for physical AI.' We want robotics teams to spend less time rebuilding the control stack and more time creating robots that do useful work." He added, "Presenting our work and hearing questions from the judges and other founders was a chance to look at what we've built from a different perspective. It was encouraging to see people understand the problem we're working on and take an interest in our approach. We still have plenty to build."
Building on this award, WIM plans to expand collaboration in industrial applications such as welding, pick-and-place, and inspection. It will work with robot makers and system integrators, and with researchers and engineers taking AI models from simulation to real hardware.
